1. Heat up a cast iron skillet with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and preheat oven to 425°F. 2. Season salmon filets with salt and pepper. 3. Once the oil in the cast iron skillet is hot, place salmon filets in with the skin facing up. Cook for 4 minutes, then flip on each side and cook for 1 minute each (6 minutes total in skillet). 4. Place the cast iron skillet in the oven with the salmon skin side facing up. Bake for about 5 minutes. 5. DEVOUR.
